Exa DigitalROCK simulations capture multi-phase pore-scale events in unprecedented detail, such as in this unsteady-state relative permeability imbibition simulation going from connate water to residual oil. Important rock and fluid flow properties can be measured throughout the domain, and key microscopic phenomena can be observed, providing insight into the underlying physics governing the essential flow properties of rock-fluids systems.
