Automotive Insight - John McElroy's Daily Thoughts on the Auto Industry

“An American software company called Exahas developed simulation software that allows you to see what noise looks like. The simulation lets you to see what the airflow looks like as it travels through the ductwork in your car, or even through the exhaust pipe. They call it Flow Induced Noise Detection, or FIND for short.
It shows the airflow in different colours. Red means a lot of noise, whereas blue means a nice and quiet airflow. That helps engineers pinpoint immediately where they might have a problem.”
