Learning Design - Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

Exa seeks a Learning Design intern that will report to the Senior Instructional Designer and will be exposed to the entire lifecycle of online learning design and development. The intern will work with the Education Program Team to gain an understanding of the educational and technical requirements of projects. Once materials are approved, content is developed and delivered in its final state, which may include online presentations, audio and video sessions, interactive tools and eLearning modules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Works collaboratively with the Senior Instructional Designer in the design, development, and delivery of the following:

  • Multi-media materials
  • Course materials
  • Training modules
  • Learning evaluations
  • Assists in the course development process
  • Assists in the production of audio and video files
  • Reviews design documentation, storyboards, and other deliverables, with the goal of ensuring alignment to course objectives
  • Provides ongoing support and maintenance of online courses
  • Assists with needs assessments and course evaluations
  • Performs other job related duties as required to meet business needs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of learning management systems
  • Able to use eLearning authoring and/or software applications such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Audacity and Camtasia
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Consistent professionalism and positive approach
  • Fast learner, eager collaborator, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Third or fourth year Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree candidate in Instructional Design, Instructional or Educational Technology, Communications, or related field
